Looking Back at the Year

As the year winds down, we’ve been looking back a bit at where we spent our time and energy. We’ve been part of the Appian community for over 10 years now, and this year felt like a natural continuation of that—steady, involved, and deeply connected to the people and work that matter to us.

Zimpatica's Extracurricular Activities

Appian World being in Colorado gave us an excuse to share a bit of our home turf. We hosted a gathering at Danico Brewing, spent a relaxed evening learning to make craft cocktails at Leopold Bros., and served delicious Zimpatica-branded lattes at our booth. It was good to see familiar faces, meet new ones, and spend time together outside of meeting rooms. Throughout the year we also joined Appian’s “Around the World” events in DC, Chicago, and New York, which gave us more opportunities to stay close to customers, partners and our friends at Appian to keep our fingers on the pulse of Appian’s latest features and customer success stories.

Highlights from Delivery

Most of our year, though, was spent in meetings with our clients or slinging SAIL—the work our delivery teams do every day. We partnered with organizations across energy, healthcare, insurance, life sciences, and private equity to make complicated processes easier to manage and understand.

In the energy sector, we helped a company working on large battery storage initiatives bring structure and visibility to long-running projects that had previously lived across emails, memos, and shared drives. In healthcare and life sciences, we supported everything from quality management for a health insurer, to patient intake improvements for a major hospital network, to reducing manual work in a key process for a global pharma organization. And in private equity, we helped a client with a large property portfolio get better control over insurance, cyber readiness, vendor onboarding, financial reporting, and sustainability tracking—work that led to real operational benefits, including significant insurance premium reductions.

What We're Preparing For

As Appian advances the platform with new capabilities—especially in AI—we’re focused on helping customers navigate and prepare for that direction in a practical way. That means understanding where those features deliver value, ensuring environments are ready to support them, and helping organizations adopt at a pace that aligns with their goals.
